Travel, shop, dine and relax – all at one station.

Ghaziabad – Travel through Namo Bharat Ghaziabad Station is set to become more than just a commute. NCRTC has announced a major step to upgrade passenger experience by inviting bids to develop commercial spaces at the station. The aim is simple to make stations comfortable, lively and useful not only for travellers but also for nearby residents.

Under this plan, commercial facilities will be developed in the Property Development (PD) area of the station. These will include rooftop restaurants, cafés, food outlets, showrooms, hypermarkets and service centres. About 18,578 square metres of space will be offered on a licence basis for a period of 25 years, helping create long-term and stable commercial activity within the station campus.
The tender process is being carried out through e-tendering, and interested bidders can apply till 4 February 2026. The space will be spread across multiple levels ground floor, upper and lower floors, and Core-A floors—allowing flexible use for different types of businesses. This includes over 4,200 sq m on the ground floor, nearly 11,900 sq m on upper levels, and more than 2,400 sq m in Core-A floors.
This initiative is part of NCRTC’s larger plan to strengthen non-fare revenue, meaning income beyond ticket sales. By developing shopping, dining and service zones, stations become financially stronger while also offering better facilities to people.
For commuters, this means real convenience. Instead of rushing in and out, travellers will be able to eat, shop, relax, access medical services or even attend events at the same place. Facilities can include:
- Rooftop and fine-dining restaurants
- Cafés and quick food outlets
- Showrooms and retail shops
- Hotels, banquet halls and service centres
- Pharmacies, wellness and medical facilities
- Regional product and craft outlets
This will save time, improve safety and make travel more pleasant.
Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station has strong commercial potential because of its location. It lies close to the city’s main bus terminal and is surrounded by busy areas like Patel Nagar, Raj Nagar, Arya Nagar and Kavi Nagar. The area also has markets, schools, offices and residential colonies, ensuring heavy daily footfall. With such demand, the station is expected to grow into a major commercial and lifestyle centre.
The station also enjoys multi-modal connectivity, linking Namo Bharat with Delhi Metro and other transport modes. It is part of the 82-km Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor, which connects three major NCR cities and is seeing rising passenger numbers. This makes the station attractive for long-term business investment.
