Yogesh sharma / Gurugram : Indian quick-commerce startup Blinkit has launched an innovative initiative called “Ambulance in 10 Minutes” in Gurugram, aiming to tackle the critical issue of delayed emergency medical care in urban areas. This service ensures ambulances equipped with life-saving tools such as oxygen cylinders, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), monitors, suction machines, and essential medicines reach patients within 10 minutes of booking through the Blinkit app. Each ambulance is staffed with a trained paramedic, an assistant, and a driver to provide professional care during emergencies.

The service, currently operating with five ambulances in Gurugram, is set to expand to major cities across India within two years. Blinkit’s CEO emphasized that this initiative is not profit-driven but focused on solving a significant public health challenge at an affordable cost. The company has called on the public to cooperate by always making way for ambulances, highlighting the life-saving impact of timely assistance. With this step, Blinkit aims to set a new standard for emergency medical services in the country.
